No comment. The Arizona Republic is reporting that a baby is on the way. Here is a picture of Brynn Cameron from her playing days at USC.
Again no comment so far.
A while back Deadspin among many other sites had some pics that were taken in New York that didnt look so good. I wonder if they will be reporting on this again. Its always amazing how this stuff gets to be newsworthy.

Matt
We followed you through your time at USC, our daughter (the youngest) graduated in May 2006. Our older children have kids of their own. Ages 9,6,5,2. The older boys have been great fans of you Matt and the Trojans. They have worn your jerseys and have been so proud that their aunt was a Trojan.
My question is, how do you explain to children this young that their hero has inprenated a young woman he has no intentions of marrying. Role model….not any more. How sad. We sincerely hope that you get your life back together and truly become a model that children and all of us can be proud of.
Starting a foundation for children is a wonderful idea, but it is unfortunate that it is the information following that of the impending birth of your son. Children are so sacred and deserve more than it seems that you and Brynn will be able to give this wonderful little boy.
D. Wolf,
It’s really none of your business.
“My question is, how do you explain to children this young that their hero has inprenated a young woman he has no intentions of marrying.”
If there’s been no comment, how do you know he has no intention of marrying her?
Again, none of your business. In fact, why don’t you raise your children and instill in them the values you seem to be relying on Matt to instill in them and let Matt do what he thinks is best for his life and family.
Regardless, none of your business.
Guys…if you read the article, it actually says SHE doesn’t want to wed. It states it explicitly more than once. Her father commented that she just wants to have her baby, finish school and play basketball.
Thousands upon thousands of other “role models” have children out of wedlock. Conservative ideology such as this limits your perspective. Don’t be so judging, and wait until you hear something from either of them, before you pass such a harsh judgement.
Did we forget to do our close reading?
D. Wolf is assuming that the child will not have a stable upbringing simply because the parents are not married.
First of all, having a child out of wedlock is NOT unusual these days. NORMALLY, a married couple provides more FINANCIAL stability to the child(ren). However, I don’t think financial support is an issue in THIS particular case. The child obviously will be financially supported. More importantly, it sounds like both sets of families are somewhat stable and supportive, so the child likely will receive a nurturing, supportive upbringing, even if the parents do not marry. And even if they don’t marry, that’s really not the public’s concern.
Second, there are PLENTY of intact families (i.e., a married couple with children) who provide a less-than-ideal home environment for their children. I’m sure home environments characterized by screaming matches between the MARRIED parents and emotional tug-o-wars that precede divorces are ideal for children. And, yes, that is sarcasm.
***NOTE: THIS COMMENT IS NOT FOR PUBLIC VIEWING; IT IS MEANT FOR THE SITE ADMINISTRATOR.
To the site administrator:
I know for a fact that Matt is not “publishing” these posts himself, and that’s okay. However, it is also problematic because some of the posts don’t really reflect well on Matt. Since this is Matt’s website, the administrator really ought to look out for Matt and avoid any unsavory posts. A professional website administrator likely would have omitted the post about the Brynn pregnancy matter.
Whomever Matt has hired to serve as his website administrator really ought to stick to just sports-related stuff. I also think that Matt really ought to hire someone PROFESSIONAL to manage his website, and let his P.R. people review the posts before they are published.
It is evident that the site administrator is a novice to the blogosphere and is not fully aware of the ramifications of some of these very public postings. For example, a “professional” (or one of Matt’s P.R. folks) definitely would have omitted the Brynn pregnancy post. Why even mention it at all when this site is supposed to be sports-related?
Second, the P.R. folks definitely would not have mentioned anything about Deadspin or any other blogs that mention anything even the least bit unsavory about Matt. I don’t think a whole lot of people knew about Deadspin before the site administrator mentioned it in the Brynn pregnancy post. Well, they do now. As a result, millions (or however many) people now have access to Deadspin and to the personal going-ons of Matt off the field, of which they previously were unaware.
Yeah what that guy said none of your business.
We live in this shoot first ask later-know it all country. “Everybody” walk’s on water! Mind your own business.
The word is impregnated.
I believe the word is “sperminated”, fool…
Just for the record, this is NOT Matt Leinart’s website from what I understand. His website can be found at http://www.MattLeinartQB.com. Matt has no control over what is posted here.
Brynn obviously got herself pregnant, she knew that Matt would be making millions and knowing how promiscuious he was, it was easy to get herself pregnant. No girl in their right mind would not decide to let a guy just date and sleep with other woman while she was pregnant. She knows that she has secruity in the situation and that is she is carrying his baby and that he will always have to be around becuase of it. What parents like hers are excited about their 20 year old daughter being pregnant and becomig a good mother?? Parents that know that their daughter is giving birthday to a 51 million dollar investment
Although I don’t agree with having children out of wedlock I am a big fan of the saying…Don’t let one mistake turn into two…
Matt Lienhart is a role model, plain and simple, people are perfect and things happen, people should not reflect on his personal life of having a child out of wedlock because im sure that he will provide the best life for his children and support the mother of his child and be there for both of them. end of story.
The focus should be on the child. What is the best situation for the child? Common sense would dictate that it is better for the child to have a stable family where the father and the mother are committed to each other, preferably in a marriage relationship. The child does not care about money or prestige, or that Matt is a football role model, does he? The child needs security and love from a father and mother.
Why is Leinert all of a sudden a role model just because he is a great football player? A role model is someone who demonstrates quality of character, such as being responsible for the human being he brings into the world. The jury is still out on that.
adipex…
news…
It’s clear that stupid Brynn got knocked up on purpose in an attempt to trap him and because she was seeing dollar signs. Women like this are VILE beyond belief. I feel sorry for him.
NO FEMALE CAN GET HERSELF PREGNANT WITHOUT AN IRRESPONSIBLE COOPERATIVE MALE. MATT SHOULD HAVE USED PROTECTION OR
KEPT IT IN HIS SHORTS. IF HE HAD TO BE THE PRIMARY CARE GIVER TO A BABY 7 DAYS A WEEK MAYBE HE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SO RECKLESS. ALL HE DOES IS WRITE OUT A CHECK EACH MONTH (A FRACTION OF HIS MILLIONS), RIDE INTO TOWN AT HIS CONVENIENCE TO SEE HIS KID FOR SOME FUN AND GAMES AND THEN RETURN THE RASCAL BACK TO ITS MOTHER AND RIDE BACK OUT TO HIS CAREFREE LIFESTYLE. BRYNN IS THE ONE THAT WILL SHOULDER THE REAL TRAMA OF THIS UNTIMELY OCCURENCE FOR MANNY YEARS.
AND ANOTHER THING, ANY MAN THAT HAS BEEN BLESSED WITH THE ABILTY AND OPPORTUNITY TO ENJOY THE BENEFITS OF MAJOR COLLEGE
ATHLETICS AND ACHIEVE GREAT SUCCESS IS
BY THE LAWS OF THE UNIVERSE A ROLE MODEL. WHERE MUCH IS GIVEN, MUCH IS EXPECTED!
Say what you want about shared responsibility, but it is the woman who will get stuck with the baby, so I can’t believe she wasn’t more careful unless she anticipated on cashing in.
